Dr. Solomon Satchwell (photo top right) was instrumental in forming the NC Medical Examiners and the Public Health program. He was appointed to the 2nd Board of Medical Examiners. Incidentally he served
with Dr. Newsom Jones Pittman (photo top left) who is the great grandfather of our current Treasurer, OB Battle
