Pender County Museum & Historical Society

Glendal Jenkins, a well known researcher, will speak to Pender County Historical Society about “The Railroad in Pender County”. The railroad created the town of Atkinson but caused the demise of Point Caswell. Glen can probably answer any of your questions about the rivers, the trains and the people of Pender County.

We will meet at the Pender County Museum, 200 West Bridger St. Burgaw, N.C. at 10:30 am. Plan to stay for a tour of the museum. We have some gory looking medical equipment and some beautiful wedding dresses as well as a “to scale” saw mill. You never know what you will see there!
